PAIA manual
This manual is published by Richnovex (Pty) Ltd in terms of section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2000, which gives a person the right to ask a private body for the records it holds.

The guide by the Information Regulator
The Information Regulator has published a guide on how to use the Act. It is available from the Regulator in each official language, and can be requested from the Regulator directly or read on the Regulator's website.
Records held
Richnovex (Pty) Ltd holds records in the following categories.
- Company records: incorporation documents, statutory registers, minutes and resolutions
- Financial records: accounting records, tax records, invoices and statements
- Client records: proposals, quotations, contracts, project records and correspondence, including enquiries sent through this website
- Employment records: contracts, payroll records and related personnel records
- Supplier records: agreements, purchase records and correspondence
Records available under other legislation
Certain records are held or made available in terms of other laws, including the Companies Act, 2008, the Income Tax Act, 1962, the Value Added Tax Act, 1991, the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, 1997, and the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013.
How to request a record
The form must state the record requested, the form of access preferred, the requester's contact details, and, where the request is made in the public interest or to protect a right, which right is at stake and how the record would help.
The information officer answers within thirty days of receiving the request, and may extend that period once where the Act allows. The Act also sets out the grounds on which a request must or may be refused, including the protection of another person's privacy, of commercial information, and of legally privileged records.
Fees
Fees are those prescribed by Regulation under the Act. A request fee may be payable before a request is considered, and an access fee may be payable before a record is handed over. The information officer confirms the amount in writing before any work is done.
If a request is refused
A requester may complain to the Information Regulator, and may apply to a court, as set out in the Act. The refusal notice explains which ground was applied and how to take the matter further.
